Yet another feather on the cap for Malaysia’s No. 1 Black Brew

Guinness® takes home another award yet again; The only stout to win an award in the category 3 years in a row
Kuala Lumpur, 25 April 2014 – GUINNESS® has set itself apart as the people’s stout of choice when Malaysia’s most loved black beer emerged the Silver winner in the alcoholic beverage category at the 2014 Putra Brand Awards! This is the 3rd consecutive year the brand has taken home an award and the only stout in the category to do so.

We see it as a big thumbs up by our fans who voted for us and made us the most preferred stout brand in the country.”
The Putra Brand Awards is not the only achievement GUINNESS® has earned over the years. The brand here in Malaysia has received consistent recognition for its high standards of quality winning the Guinness League of Excellence (GLoE) Award, 5 consecutive years in a row for brewing the best Guinness outside of Ireland. The GLoE award is the global benchmark for consistently high-quality GUINNESS® brewed outside of Ireland.

A NEW WORLD CALLS FOR A NEW STYLE                
One of the success factors contributing to the brands win is its focus on key innovation campaigns throughout the year. The launch of GUINNESS®’s all new packaging was the most important overture in the brand’s history since the last decade.
Bruce continued, “the new look is the latest step forward to bolster the brands position as Malaysia’s most loved brews, in signature style, reflective of the brand and its younger generation of fans today”.
The Putra Brand Awards measure brands by consumer preferences thus earning the recognition as ‘Malaysia’s only brand awards chosen by the people’.
