UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP CELEBRATES THE LAUNCH OF DEF JAM SOUTH-EAST ASIA

SINGAPORE, 20 September 2019 – Universal Music Group, the world leader in music based-entertainment marked the dawn of a new era for rap and hip-hop music with a launch party at Canvas, Singapore on Wednesday evening following the official expansion announcement of its new Def Jam South- East Asia label at Music Matters on 17th September.

Highlights of the night included solo performances by the label’s seven new inaugural signings; Joe Flizzow (Malaysia), DABOYWAY(Thailand), Yung Raja (Singapore), Fariz Jabba (Singapore), ALIF (Singapore), A.Nayaka (Indonesia) & Young Bong (Thailand), who dropped sick bars to an exclusive guestlist of urban culture leaders and industry veterans before all artists delivered an epic finale of DABOYWAY’s latest single “GANGSH!T”.

The party continued to wee hours of morning as DJ CZA, DJ BOMBER SELECTA and DJAYBUDDAH spun sensational live sets and kept guests dancing throughout the night.
